The biggest music award: The Grammy will be going down with its 65th edition in Los Angeles on Sunday.


The awards converges the best of music stars from around the world, and this year’s edition won’t be any different.


As countdown to the awards night ticks, here are 5 things to know about the Grammys:


5 new categories were added to this year’s award to make the total 91 with Beyonce leading in five nominations.


Host

Trevor Noah will be hosting this year’s edition of the show for the third year running.


Performers

Despite being a music awards, the show is not always bereft of music performance and this year’s edition will feature performance from Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Steve Lacy, Lizzo, Kim Petras and Sam Smith.


New Categories

Five new categories were introduced to this year’s nominations list, including songwriter of the year (non-classical), best alternative music performance, best Americana performance and best score soundtrack for video games and other interactive media.


Presenters at the 2023 Awards

The Recording Academy announced a slew of presenters including Cardio B, Olivia Rodrigo and Shania Twain.


Joining them are Billy Crystal, James Corden, Viola Davis, Dwayne Johnson and First Lady Jill Biden
