Diddy's son Justin Combs arrested for DUI in Los Angeles, reports say

Justin Dior Combs, the son of Sean "Diddy" Combs and Misa Hylton, was arrested in Los Angeles on Sunday morning for driving under the influence.

According to online inmate records viewed by USA TODAY, Combs, 29, was taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department at approximately 9 a.m. PDT. He was booked for a misdemeanor offense.

Combs was released at 12:30 p.m. PDT on his own recognizance, which means he did not have to pay the $5,000 bond. However, he is required to appear in court when requested.

The arrest took place during a traffic stop in Beverly Hills. An LAPD officer informed Fox News that the officers suspected Combs of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The subsequent investigation confirmed that he was indeed impaired.

According to the LAPD, Combs ran a red light, leading to the traffic stop. During the stop, he underwent a sobriety test, which he failed, as reported by a spokesperson to Entertainment Tonight.

On Instagram, Justin's mother, Misa Hylton, appeared to react to the arrest through a series of now-deleted posts on her story. In one post, she stated, "I'm not protecting no one anymore, just my son. And ALL the children." She also referenced the phrase "a fish rots from the head down," implying that leadership plays a significant role in both success and failure. Hylton concluded with the statement, "The Truth shall set you free."

Hylton continued her Instagram posts, making a reference to Diddy's single "Act Bad" with the City Girls and Fabolous. She wrote, "Act BAD BAD boy I used to want to be a BAD Girl. I chose to be a QUEEN Tried and true. I'm not perfect, but I am INTENTIONAL." Additionally, she expressed regret, saying, "I should have kept my child with me."

Apart from his personal life, Combs is involved in various projects in the entertainment industry. He serves as the executive producer of "The Crew League," a televised celebrity basketball tournament, and "Respectfully Justin," a limited reality series with Justin Laboy. Earlier this year, he made two appearances in "Power Book II: Ghost" as an actor.

Before venturing into show business, Combs played football for UCLA.
