Adamawa State Governor Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has disclosed that his administration has set out modalities in motion to employ over four thawsand (400) youths into the state civil service to assist in driving policies and programmes of government.


The Government made the this known when he granted audience to a political pressure group known as "226 Wards For Fintiri" at his government house residence.


While addressing the group that cut across 21 LGAs of the state, the governor acknowledged the 226 wards for Fintiri political set up who gear up to pursue common goal for the good of the state and his political ambition as 2023 general elections take center stage.

He revealed that the youths remain central in driving policies and programmes of government and that in the past three years they have not relented in working to ensure his administration succeed. 


He disclosed that the state government is determined to achieve more feet in driving it's policies and programmes where it consider the youth as central to assist in that direction.


In furtherance to that effect he disclosed that the government has concluded arrengement to employ over 4000 youths in the month of September into the system of governance across various MDAs where they are expected to assist in driving policies and programmes of Government.


"Half of this government is made up of intellectuals, more than half are made up of young people and that is why I set out to fill in the remaining gaps in the ministries so that we can have capable and young hands to drive this process.



"This month we will be setting out to employ over four thawsand young people into the system".


He maintained that the present administration has changed the ugly narrative in the state  through developmental projects that cut across all the 226 wards and sectors in the state and hope to do more with the support of the masses especially the youth.


He assured the masses in the state that with him as the driver, Adamawa is in safe hands adding that his administration has gone through a lot to bail the state out of the woods and cannot afford to handover to a lazy leader as obtained before he took over in 2019.


While clearing air on the issue of taxes on cows that generated heated debate among the populace in recent time, the Governor explained that the government is working online with the provisions of the law and in the best interest of the state to bring about development but was given twisted narratives by enemies who don't wish the state and his administration well.


He added that the revenue collected from cow vendors in Adamawa cattle market cannot be compared with what they pay in neighboring countries and states where the same services is served and urged the people to reflect and have the interest of the state and it's development at heart.


He revealed that the N5000 taxed on cows in the market is not collected from cattle breeders within the state but a revenue taxed on vendors who come into the state to buy cows and urged the people to disregard blackmailers who are working to instigate them against the government that is working had to formalize the market in order to improve their wellbeing.


He revealed that the government has designed one of the best cattle market in Mubi saying that soon construction will start in earnest, the development according to Fintiri will be replicated in other markets located in other zones to enhance the state IGR and bring about more development to the state.


Earlier in his address the leader of the 226 Ward For Fintiri, David Zada revealed that the mission of the group is to round the state and generate 500,000 votes for the Governor in the forthcoming general elections.


He maintained that the reason for their support to the Governor was because of his support and uncommon transformation that cut across security, education, healthcare services and the massive infrastructural development that has transformed and given the state both national and international recognition.


The group he said has concluded plans to run full time digital campaign for the Governor until they achieved their 500,000 target.


That efforts according to David the group will continue to pursue until the governor is declared winner of the state gubernatorial election come 4th of March 2023.
