STUDENT OF HEALTH TECH HACKS COUSIN TO DEATH FOR BEWITCHING HIS CHILD

 

A Student of the College of Health Technology Mubi, Adamawa state, Komi Yusuf, has been arrested for allegedly matcheting his cousin to death for bewitching his 5 months old child.

The sad incident occured in Prambe community, Dumne Development Area, Song Local Government Area on the 4th January, 2023.

Already, the suspect and the student of Health Tech, Department of Health Education has been nabbed by the operatives of the Police Command in connection to the crime.

Komi, who hails from Prambe, accused his cousin identified as Boniface, (now deceased) of causing the death of his 5 months old child by witchcraft.

He also accused his victim and one of his cousins, Nasamu, of bewitching his daughter about 2 years ago.

After the demise of his child, Komi, armed his himself with a matchet in a broad day light and trailed late Boniface where he was playing cards with friends and matcheted him in the middle of his head to death.

NEWS PLATFORM gathered that the suspect stormed where the deceased was playing with friends and hacked him to death without asking whether he was responsible for the death of his child or not.

The culprit voluntarily confessed to the crime while being interrogated by the spokesman of the Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje.

He narrated that about 2 years ago, late Boniface and Nasamu, bewitched his daughter as confessed to him by the later, saying that he had warned him to steer clear his family members but to no avail.

He said that he had attacked his cousin out of anger because he had killed his innocent child, admitting that there are witches amongs their family members in the community.

The image maker of the Command said that the Commissioner of Police, S. K. Akande, has ordered the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to complete investigation and ensure the prosecution of the suspect.
