Hello Footbalgerians,

Mixed feelings for Top sides today, especially in the Premier League, as Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham failed to win; even PSG in Ligue 1. German Top Dogs did their jobs well, and so did Real Madrid with their 100th trophy win.

PREMIER LEAGUE

• Westham held Chelsea to a draw at East London. The blues would be very disappointed with the result as their investment during the winter window hasn’t paid dividend. The positive for them today would be Joao Felix. He not only scored, but also had a goal ruled out and was involved in most of Chelsea’s attacking moves. Chelsea's old boy Emerson got the equalizer for Westham.

• Frustrations for the League Leaders who have now gone 3 games without a win, raising questions about their title chances. They seem to have lost their cojones. Truth be told, they were the better side today and in fact took the lead through new boy Trossard, but they couldn’t hold on and just like last week, they conceded from a set piece, with Toney the goalscorer. Now, Arsenal may drop from the top if they get nothing from their next match against Manchester City. Tough time for the gunners.

• We talked about Leicester-Tottenham always entertaining, today was no different. 5 goals in a one sided encounter. Spurs took the lead from Bentacur and that was it, they got lost from the moment Mendy equalized. Lloris impact was seen today as they shipped in goals. Nigeria's Iheanacho took over the game, scored once and assisted another. Maddison did the same too. Barnes had a goal ruled out for offside, but wouldn’t be denied another. We repeat, “Tottenham are as unstable as the wind”.

BUNDESLIGA

• Bayern Munich won their third game at a stretch, after drawing 3 at a stretch too. On his record breaking appearance for Bayern, Thomas Muller opened the scoring for his side before second half goals from Coman and Gnabry sealed the game for them. Their next opponent is PSG and we're excited.

• As Bayern were winning, Dortmund were doing same to keep themselves within Bayern's reach. 18-year old Bynoe-Gittens opened the scoring before Brandt doubled the lead. They move second ahead of Union Berlin

LIGUE 1

Monaco shocked Mbape & Messiless PSG today and reduced the margin between them to 7 points. We expected Neymar to step up in the absence of his partners in crime but he couldn’t. Ben Yedder was the star of the show as he scored twice and assisted the other for his side. Zaire-Emery got the consolation for PSG. They need to work on themselves before facing Bayern in the UCL next.

CLUB WORLD CUP

High Five to Real Madrid, they are our team of the day. There have been criticism due to their recent bad performances, but they put it behind them and added another prestigious title to their collection. We saw why Ancelloti said Benzema would remain their number 9, he returned from injury and lead his side to gold. He scored a goal and assisted another, Valverde and Vinicius both got a brace. This trophy makes it 100 trophies for Real Madrid, winning is in their DNA. Congratulations to them!!!
