Bolatito Adegoke, the wife of Timothy Adegoke, an MBA student at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife who was murdered, has revealed that he had plans to relocate their family abroad before his untimely death.

In an exclusive interview with Punch, Bolatito shared how Timothy's tragic demise shattered his dreams of providing a better future for their family. She disclosed that Timothy, who hailed from Oyo state, intended to move her and their children overseas while he remained in Nigeria.

Speaking in Yoruba, Bolatito said, "He had promised to take us all overseas, while he would stay here. Our children were attending prestigious schools, and he had planned to take them out of Nigeria after they completed their primary education."

She also pleaded with the government to provide her with a job so that she could support and care for her children.

On Tuesday, May 30, justice was finally served for Timothy's family when the owner of the Hilton Hotel in Ile-Ife, Adedoyin, and two others were sentenced to death by hanging for his murder.

Timothy Adegoke, who was pursuing his postgraduate studies, had traveled from Abuja to Ile-Ife in November 2021 to write his exams. He had intended to stay at the Hilton Hotel for the duration of the examination period. However, he was reported missing on November 7, 2021, when his friends and family were unable to reach him.

Following his family's alarm, the police launched an investigation, leading to the arrest of the hotel owner, Ramon Adedoyin, and six employees.

Reactions to the news:

@HONEST08600247: The hotel where the man was brutally murdered should be shut down, and the proceeds should be given to his family. That would be true justice.

@la_vench: May his soul rest in peace. Adedoyin is a despicable person.

@Leofem_: Can they transfer the murderer's money to this woman?

@Buchoo4pf: Come on, it's a lie. Students just die, and the next minute you label them as first-class students. May his soul rest in peace. But this guy looks suspicious.
