Role Overview
The Social Media Consultant will be responsible for managing the digital presence of key leadership figures within the organization, using online platforms to:

Amplify ActionAid’s work and leadership impact

Drive stakeholder engagement

Promote advocacy, justice, and humanitarian efforts

Maintain professional, confidential, and respectful online communication
Responsibilities

Strategically manage social media platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
-
Create, schedule, and publish engaging multimedia content
-
Capture and edit mobile photographs and videos
-
Use tools for social media monitoring, reporting, and analytics
-
Safeguard sensitive information and maintain digital discretion
-
Collaborate with leadership and communication teams to align content with organizational goals
Required Qualifications
Education
-
A Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication or any related discipline – Essential
Experience
-
Proven experience managing professional social media accounts
-
Proficient with graphic design and video editing (mobile and desktop tools)
-
Solid understanding of content production and visual storytelling
-
Experience with mobile photography/videography – Essential
-
Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools – Desirable
Key Skills & Abilities

Strong command of tools like Canva, InShot, CapCut, Hootsuite, Meta Suite, etc.

Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and proactively

Organized, with strong prioritization and time management skills

Ability to handle confidential information with utmost integrity
