 What You Will Do

As the General Manager, you will serve as the senior executive leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program—strategic planning, operational delivery, financial management, and stakeholder engagement.

Your responsibilities include:

• Overseeing budgets, strategic direction, and operational execution for the education transformation program.

• Leading and managing a diverse program team, ensuring alignment with NewGlobe’s vision and mission.

• Acting as the primary liaison with the Ministry of Education, SUBEB, and other government stakeholders.

• Ensuring quality assurance, responsiveness, and the technical soundness of all program components.

• Identifying potential risks and implementation challenges, recommending and executing solutions.

• Maintaining budget discipline, ensuring all deliverables are completed on or under budget.

• Collaborating with internal teams to foster innovation, problem-solving, and continuous learning within the organization.

• Representing NewGlobe in high-level meetings with government officials and partner organizations.

 Qualification and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required.

• A Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in project management, education system design, or development work in emerging markets.

• Minimum of 5 years in senior management, with proven ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams.

• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, multi-faceted projects, ideally within the education sector.

• Experience working in or with government agencies, especially Ministries of Education or related departments.

• Strong background in strategic planning, budgeting, and stakeholder management.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in change management, capacity building, or education reform is a strong plus.

• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, data-driven environments.

• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to diversity, gender, and religious considerations.

• Deep passion for education, social impact, and equity.
