Funding will be available for use beginning January 2026, and can be utilized for reagent orders until December 31, 2029 or until the grant amount is fully spent.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Be based in the United States and affiliated with an accredited academic or research institution.
Hold a full-time research position — including PhD candidates, post-doctoral researchers, lab technicians, or principal investigators.
Teams from the same laboratory are encouraged to submit a single, joint application representing their collective PCR work.

Only one application per individual or lab will be accepted.

Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be assessed based on the following factors:

Scientific Impact – The potential of the proposed research to contribute to its field.
Broader Relevance – The social, medical, or environmental significance of the project.
Innovation and Originality – The novelty of the research design or use of PCR technology.
Clarity and Feasibility – The organization, completeness, and realism of the proposal.
Justification of Reagent Use – A clear rationale for the requested amount of PCR reagents.

A shortlist of applications will be reviewed by a panel of internal and external experts in molecular biology and applied research.

Terms and Conditions

All grants are awarded to the host laboratory rather than individual researchers. Should a recipient relocate before using the full amount, the remaining funds will stay with the original laboratory.

Successful applicants will be notified by email and must complete several steps within two weeks of notification:

Confirm receipt of the award.
Provide any requested information.
Submit a professional headshot for promotional use.

Failure to meet these requirements will result in forfeiture of the award, which will then be offered to another applicant.

Applicants must also ensure that they have received approval from their supervisor or department head before submitting the application.

Eligible Products

The grant covers the full range of PCR Biosystems reagents, with the exception of dNTPs and DNA markers. However, these items may be approved for purchase in small quantities when ordered alongside eligible reagents such as enzymes.

Funding Period and Usage

Funding begins in January 2026.
Reagents can be ordered at any point up to December 31, 2029, based on PCR Biosystems’ list prices.
Orders are deducted from the total awarded amount as purchases are made.

Publicity and Acknowledgement

Grant recipients agree to have their name, institution, and photo featured on PCR Biosystems’ website, social media, and marketing materials.

Each winner will be required to share at least one piece of content related to their research — such as lab photos, data images, or video testimonials. The main award winner must provide one content piece per year for the duration of the three-year funding period.

All publications or presentations that include data generated using reagents from this grant must acknowledge PCR Biosystems as a funding source.

Data Protection

Personal data collected during the application process will be used solely for grant administration and handled according to PCR Biosystems’ Privacy Policy.
