In a show of solidarity and pride, Senator Amos K. Yohanna, representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, has extended warm congratulations to General Mohammed Buba Marwa (Rtd.) on his reappointment as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The reappointment, which grants Gen. Marwa another five-year term at the helm of the anti-narcotics agency, was recently approved by President Bola Tinubu.

Senator Yohanna personally conveyed his felicitations during a visit to the NDLEA boss in his office. During the meeting, the senator lauded Marwa’s relentless efforts in combating drug abuse and illicit trafficking across Nigeria.

“As a proud son of Adamawa North, Gen. Marwa’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking continues to make our senatorial district and entire state proud,” Senator Yohanna stated.

He described the renewal of Marwa’s appointment as a “well-deserved recognition” of his exceptional leadership and the remarkable transformation he has brought to the NDLEA since taking office.

Reflecting on their discussion, the senator added: “During our meeting, I commended him for his dedication, professionalism, and the impact of his work on national security and youth protection. I am confident that this renewed mandate will further consolidate the tremendous gains achieved under his stewardship.”

Senator Yohanna concluded with prayers for the NDLEA chairman, asking God to continue to guide and strengthen him as he carries out this critical national assignment.

The visit underscores the cross-sector support for Gen. Marwa’s work and the positive recognition he continues to receive from his home state and beyond.
