Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Thursday joined his colleagues in challenging President Muhammadu Buhari to name the governors he claims divert local government funds in the country.

President Buhari recently stated that some state governors have been diverting local government allocations meant for grassroots development, which sparked outrage across the country.

Governor Fintiri, who issued the challenge while wrapping up a two-day campaign rally in Jada, urged President Buhari to also put a stop to alleged corrupt practices of illegal deductions in the office of the Accountant General of the Federation.

He reminded the people of Jada of how his administration has reduced school dropouts to a bare minimum, made education free, and built over 5,000 schools.

The Governor also stated that the current administration has paid senior secondary school examination fees for over 150 thousand students since its inception.

On security, Governor Umaru Fintiri says the government under his watch has addressed the threat of insecurity that has long plagued Adamawa and has vowed to deal with the state's remaining criminals.

Governor Fintiri urged the people of Jada to re-elect him so that he could continue to provide good governance, while also encouraging them to vote for their son, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and other PDP candidates.

Alhaji Auwal Tukur, Director General of the State Campaign Council, described the turnout of the masses in Jada as the best so far in the local government areas visited, urging them to continue to support the PDP.

In his remarks, an elder statesman, Alhaji Muhammadu Kwairanga Jada, described Governor Fintiri as a man of his word and urged the people to vote for him massively to reciprocate Governor Fintiri's administration's giant strides.

Ambassador Umar Damagun, the deputy national chairman of the PDP, called on youths to defend their mandates and support the party after presenting the party's flag to some candidates in the area.

Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar, Commissioner of Works and Energy, stated that Fintiri's administration has brought unprecedented development to Jada and that the people must reciprocate the gesture by reelecting him.
