MAN IMPREGNATES GIRLFRIEND, DUMPS NEWBORN BABY IN A TOILET

 

An Okada Rider, Ibrahim Lalle in Dumne, Song Local Government Area, Adamawa state has been accused of impregnating his girl friend, Hande Daniel, and dumping her newborn baby in toilet after delivery.

Ibrahim of Unguwan Gangare, Bariki in Dumne (now at large), allegedly dumped his newborn baby girl in a toilet near Government Day Secondary School (GDSS) Central Dumne for 2 days.

The commercial motorcycle operator allegedly put the baby in a polythene bag and threw her in a toilet without cutting umbilical cord of the baby for 2 days.

A resident of the community had while passing around the area in the early hours of Thursday, 23rd January, 2023, heard the baby crying in the toilet and immediately alerted members of the commumnity who rescued her. 

A source in told NEWS PLATFORM that Ibrahim dumped the baby in the toilet after his mother had told him that she does not want to be a grand mother of an "infidel" shortly after Hande, delivered in their house.

The mother was said to have insisted that she does not want her son to marry Hande because she an "infidel" as a result of which they connived with her son and dumped the baby in the toilet.

NEWS PLATFORM was informed that Ibrahim had impregnated 3 girls including Hande, and that when one of the pregnant lady heard about the incident, she nearly collapse and later aborted her pregnancy.

Another pregnant lady known as Mummy, of Sabon Layi was said to have remained indoors since she heard about the terrifying news involving her boy friend.

It was learnt that Hande Daniel and the mother of Ibrahim have since been arrested by the operatives of the police command attached to Dumne and being investigated.

Another source had it that though the police are investigating those apprehended; however, effort is being made to end the matter at the community level.

Effort by NEWS PLATFORM to get confirmation from the Police Public Relation Officer(PPRO), SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, was not successful.
