NEW DISTRICT HEADS EMERGES IN HONG LGA
After the declaration of vacant seats for some District Heads in Hong by the Adamawa State Emirate Council, elections were conducted to fill these positions in the Hildi, Uba, and Gaya districts.
The election, which took place at the LGA Secretariat in Hong, was conducted in a free and fair manner, creating a conducive atmosphere.
The election process was overseen by Galadima Adamawa, Alhaji Mustapha Aminu, representing Lamido Adamawa, HRH Alhaji Muhammadu Barkindo.
The candidates who emerged victorious from the election are as follows: Abubakar Yusuf for Hildi, Suleiman Yahaya for Uba, and Adamu Suleiman for Gaya.
Addressing the winners, the Galadima of Adamawa advised them to discharge their duties with a sense of fear for Allah, while also showing respect for the Adamawa State and Emirate Council.
Hon Usman Innuwa Wa'aganda , the Executive Chairman of Hong Local Government Council, who acted as the host and facilitator, congratulated the newly elected district heads and urged those who did not succeed in the election to accept their destiny guided by God Almighty. He further extended his gratitude to Gov Ahmadu Fintiri for his support, as well as the Emirate Council.
Expressing his gratitude on behalf of the new district heads, Abubakar Yusuf, who is also the District Head of Hildi, thanked the Emirate Council, the Adamawa State Government, and the Hong Local Government while offering prayers for a safe journey back for all attendees.
The event was attended by esteemed individuals, including Walid Adamawa, Alhaji Aminu Abdulkadir, Wakili Alkalai, Justice Nathan Musa, Madawakin Adamawa, Usman Marafa, security agencies in Hong Local Government, and many others.
