Job Description
The Adolescent Wellbeing and Youth Engagement Intern will assist in the implementation, coordination, and evaluation of projects focused on sexual and reproductive health (SRH), gender equality, and youth development. This role provides a great opportunity for hands-on experience in program development, community engagement, and advocacy within a supportive and professional team.
Key Responsibilities
📌 Support the planning and implementation of adolescent and youth-focused programs on sexual and reproductive health.
📌 Engage with communities, youth groups, and stakeholders to promote adolescent well-being and gender equality.
📌 Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of programs, ensuring that goals and objectives are met.
📌 Conduct research, data collection, and analysis to inform program strategies.
📌 Advocate for the rights and well-being of young people, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making.
📌 Support in developing training materials, awareness campaigns, and outreach programs.
📌 Work closely with other team members to ensure compliance with child protection standards and Do No Harm principles.
Qualifications & Requirements
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Development Studies, or a related field.
✔ Minimum of 1 year of experience in program implementation, research, advocacy, or community engagement within Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), Gender, or Youth Development projects.
✔ Experience working directly with children at risk and victims of abuse, exploitation, and violence.
✔ Strong knowledge of child protection standards (UNCRC) and Do No Harm principles.
✔ Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
✔ Passion for youth empowerment, gender equality, and health advocacy.
