The Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, has extended warm New Year greetings to the people of the state, describing the season as one of renewed hope, unity, and shared responsibility.

In a press statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Hyellamada Bernard, the Speaker congratulated citizens for witnessing the beginning of 2026 in a peaceful atmosphere, despite the challenges experienced in the outgoing year.

He expressed appreciation to the people of Adamawa State for their continued support, cooperation, and trust in the Fresh Air Administration and the State House of Assembly under his leadership.

Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley commended the resilience, patience, and spirit of peaceful coexistence demonstrated by citizens in the face of economic and social challenges encountered in 2025.

On behalf of his colleagues, the Speaker reaffirmed the commitment of the Adamawa State House of Assembly to enacting people-oriented laws, strengthening democratic governance, and supporting policies that promote development, security, and the social welfare of citizens across the state.

He called on the people to embrace peace, unity, and mutual understanding, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved through collective effort and shared responsibility.

While wishing citizens a prosperous New Year, the Speaker urged them to continue supporting government initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.

He also appealed to the people of the state to continue praying for their leaders and for the overall peace and progress of Adamawa State.
